Kane celebrates his century goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has revealed that his interest in coming back to the Premier League has faded and he is prepared to explore a new deal with Bayern Munich.
The star striker is at the moment midway through the four-year contract he signed when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the transfer window of 2023.
The 32-year-old forward has netted an impressive 103 goals in 106 appearances for the German side, helping them claim the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which represented the first major honor of his illustrious career.
Tottenham boss Thomas Frank has previously mentioned that he would welcome to see Kane go back to England, where he needs 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's record Premier League scoring record of 260.
However, the England leader has now clarified that he is no longer as enthusiastic about going back home as he previously was, and would certainly contemplate extending his tenure in Bavaria.
"In terms of remaining longer, I could absolutely see that," he commented.
"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be willing to talk and have an frank conversation.
"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so progresses and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not considering about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have learned in my career is that different chances and different timings happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."
Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the historic top scorer for both Tottenham and England and lately became the quickest player this century to reach 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five divisions, reaching the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a trophy had avoided him until he secured the German title last season.
Kane reveals that he was not sure how he would respond after overcoming his trophy drought, but now thinks it has made him eager for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.
"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.
"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
